  3. │   When selecting a password, remember these tips:                    │
  4. │                                                                      │
  5. │ <1> Do not use a common or easy to guess password. (PASSWORD is an   │
  6. │     excellent example of a poorly chosen password)                   │
  7. │ <2> Do not use the same password on more than one system. (If your   │
  8. │     password is cracked on another BBS, chances are the culprit will │
  9. │     try the same password on this system too!)                       │
  10. │ <3> Write the password down in a safe place. (You will forget it,    │
  11. │     very easily in fact. And often the SysOp gets the blame)         │
  12. │ <4> Pick a password with at least five to eight characters. (You can │
  13. │     use any alphanumeric character) It will make it more difficult   │
  14. │     for someone to logon with your name by merely pressing down      │
  15. │     on the keyboard.                                                 │
