  37.          Hi everyone.  How's life ?

  39.          Ok, here we go again,  with  one  little,  simple,  Quickbbs  2.75
  40.     utility.  Remember the first time you sorted your USERS.BBS  ?   What a
  41.     surprise  to  find out that, if you used USERSORT.EXE, it was sorted by
  42.     FIRSTNAME !  And just to  add  to  the sinking feeling of <What's wrong
  43.     here!>, you had to use another utility to pack  your  USERS.BBS.  Those
  44.     days  are  over,  now that PackSort 2.1 is here.  It will do both, Pack
  45.     and Sort by first or last  names,  from  <A to Z> or from <Z to A>.  It
  46.     will also delete old users.  And while doing  so,  it will let you know
  47.     exactly what's going on...  As an added bonus, an optional sorted ASCII
  48.     file of all your users will  be generated, under the name USERLIST.TXT.
  49.     You could ZIP that file an make it available for download !

  51.          This  treasure  of a program is, as always, completely  free.   It
  52.     does  not  requier any kind of registration.  You cannot however modify
  53.     in any way the original  archive  or files.  If you do, a spell will be
  54.     cast  upon  you,  that will alter the behavior  of  the  McFee's  virus
  55.     scanner.  As  a  result,  it will no longer search for 751 viruses, but
  56.     instead will toss every  one  of  them  into  your  system...  Say, you
  57.     wouln't want that, wouln't you ?  ( And, yes of course it's a joke ! )

  59.          I do not offer any kind of warranty.  If you ever  decide  to  use
  60.     PackSort,  well, you do it on your own.  If it breaks anything, you can
  61.     keep the broken parts.   If  that  makes you feel any better, I've been
  62.     using it for the past 2 months without any damage to my USERS.BBS file.

  66.                          *** IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS ***

  68.          Seriously,  there's  NO  way the program can trash your USERS.BBS,
  69.     because it DOESN'T USE  IT  !   First, it makes a copy of the file, not
  70.     just a <RENAME>.  And it uses that backup as a  work file.  In the end,
  71.     AFTER  the  new  packed  and sorted user file is succesfully written to
  72.     disk, the work file is erased, and your untouched original USERS.BBS is
  73.     renamed to USERS.BAK.  So, you can be assured  that  ABSOLUTLY  NOTHING
  74.     can make your USERS.BBS vanish from your hard drive.

  98.          As  a fellow SysOp, I know that a short and sweet documentation is
  99.     necessary to our mental  health.   Again, a recent scientific study has
  100.     shown that 9 out of 10 SysOps try to use a program  without reading the
  101.     docs...  Please read on, it's for your own good !
