  58.             QuickSilver ReTouch is a Windows Shareware Program for digital
  59.             image processing.
  60.             The application doesn't have any restrictions of functionality
  61.             and supports color depth up to 24-Bit TrueColor. On reduced
  62.             color depth, ReTouch operates with a dithering technique
  63.             (optionally with or without 'error diffusion'). With the
  64.             'Drag&Drop' method of the file manager, you can directly
  65.             load images and play AVI-Videos using the mouse. The inte-
  66.             grated 'ScreenShot' module enables ReTouch to capture the
  67.             Windows Desktop (resp. single windows or areas).
  68.             The application is capable to exchange marked areas in DIB
  69.             format with the clipboard. Paste options offer a variety
  70.             of image combinations, such as SUB,ADD,MUL,MIN,MAX,OR and
  71.             weighted combination.
  72.             With the integrated MORPHING module, you can compute Video
  73.             clips in the background, recorded and played back using the
  74.             AVI format (Audio Video Interlaced by Video for Windows).
  75.             The usual image transformations (Gamma correction, scaling,
  76.             color reduction a.s.o.) operate with qualifying options (RGB-
  77.             channel, interpolation, error diffusion).
  78.             In the ToolBox window, you select drawing tools and the pre-
  79.             view area lets you estimate the effect of color functions.
  80.             You can also select the current image filter or adjust the
  81.             display area with zoomed images.
  82.             The Windows Online Help offers a context sensitive and
  83.             detailed description for all of the ReTouch functions.

  94.             - apply a digital filter on the image,
  95.             - increase or decrease the color depth of an image,
  96.             - make a Gamma correction of the image,
  97.             - set color, brightness, and contrast like a television,
  98.             - change the weight of each color component (RGB),
  99.             - separately adjust the contrast specifically,
  100.             - get additional color information and transformation,
  101.             - create ScreenShots from the Windows Desktop,
  102.             - color each pixel with the current drawing color,
  103.             - quadratic area filtering using the filter cursor.

  126.               1.  Create a new directory with the file manager
  127.                   (e.g. D:\RETO20) and there copy the archive
  128.                   RETO20.EXE.

  130.               2.  Execute the self extracting archive RETO20
  131.                   (double click the archive in the file manager).

  133.               3.  Drag the expanded file ReTouch.Exe from the file
  134.                   manager to the program manager and drop it over
  135.                   a group of your choice (accessories or graphics).

  139.               1.  Open the Explorer (shortcut 'My Computer') and
  140.                   activate the drive on which you want to install
  141.                   ReTouch. Create an empty folder with |File|New|
  142.                   |Folder| and name it accordingly. Now copy the
  143.                   archive RETO20.EXE to this location.

  145.               2.  Execute the self extracting archive RETO20
  146.                   (double click the archive in the Explorer).
  147.                   Close the DOS shell after extraction and select
  148.                   the expanded file ReTouch.Exe with a single click.

  150.               3.  Now create a shortcut icon to ReTouch with
  151.                   |File|Create Shortcut|. Drag the shortcut icon
  152.                   with the mouse to the desired Desktop location
  153.                   and drop it there.

  155.             Thereby the application is installed and you can always
  156.             start ReTouch with a double click on the icon inside the
  157.             program manager resp. the shortcut on the Desktop.

  159.             If you should have installed the program in a different
  160.             way, please ensure to setup the proper path for the
  161.             ReTouch working directory.

  172.             release of a new version, and low-priced updates. Editing and
  173.             enhancing your AVI-Videos is provided by a copy of MicroSoft's
  174.             video tool VidEdit. In addition, you can call upon support
