  143. ===== Installation =====================================

  145. The installation procedure for Z & Z Color is quite simple.  The
  146. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  147. entire process.  You will need about 2 Meg of available disk space
  148. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Z & Z Color.
  149.  
  150. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  151. Z & Z Color.
  152.

  154. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  155.  
  156. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  157.  
  158.    o  If you are not already running Microsoft Windows, start it up.
  159.  
  160.    o  Place Z & Z Color distribution diskette in the appropriate
  161.       diskette drive.
  162.  
  163.    o  Select the File, Run command from the program manager to execute
  164.       the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette. For
  165.       example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type the
  166.       command, "a:install" in the dialog box.
  167.  
  168.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  169.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  170.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  171.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  172.       the Z & Z Color files to that directory.  It will make no other
  173.       changes; specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or
  174.       config.sys files.

  177. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  178.  
  179. If you downloaded Z & Z Color from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  180. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  181. following steps.

  183.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  184.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  185.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  186.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  187.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  188.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  189.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  190.       the package.

  192.    o  Select the File, Run command from the Windows program manager to

  194.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
