-
- New features in 2.1x:

- servers (such as Simtel.Net or TUCOWS).
- * GetRight will find the fastest server from the set of alternate addresses
- for downloading the file to improve your download performance.
- * GetRight now supports Download.Com's "Download Manager" file format.
- * GetRight can now return your web browser to the source web page where the
- downloading file was found.
- * And more...

-
- Using GetRight to Download:
- GetRight monitors the contents of the clipboard to see if a web link (URL)
- is copied into the clipboard.
- When a web link (of the correct file type) is copied to the clipboard,
- GetRight starts up to get the file.
-
- DETAILS:
- * Find a file you wish to get in your web browser. Click with the RIGHT mouse
- button on the link (often blue, underlined text) to get a menu of choices.
- * Using Netscape: pick "Copy link location" from the menu.
- * Using Microsoft (95/NT): pick "Copy shortcut" from the menu.
- * Using Microsoft (3.1): pick "Properties" from the menu, then select the
- text in the URL box in the window that appears and press Ctrl-C to copy it
- to the clipboard.
- * Or from ANY program--email, word processor, a different web browser, or
- anything else where you may see a URL--select the link text (looks like
- http://xxx.xxx.xxx/file.name or ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx/file.name) and press
- Ctrl-C to copy the text to the clipboard.
-
- * For the common download types (such as .EXE .ZIP, etc.), GetRight will
- automatically startup to download the file as soon as the text is copied.
-
- * For most other types, GetRight will ask you whether it should download the
- file or not.
-
- (See the online help for more information, options, and other methods to start
- downloading using GetRight.)
