  5. Fund Manager is a portfolio management application designed
  6. for the individual investor.

  13. simply double click on any of the sample icons created
  14. by the installation program.

  20. Fund Manager is also available for Windows 95.  The Win95
  21. and Windows 3.1 versions use the same data format, so they

  42. Manager.  Run the program "install.exe".

  56. EASY UPGRADE INSTALLATION:
  57. If you already have a previous version of Fund Manager
  58. on your computer you can install this newer version
  59. directly over your old version.  During installation
  60. specify the directory where your current version is
  61. located (eg. c:\finance).  You can continue to use your
  62. existing data files.  Your old version of Fund Manager
  63. will be overwritten.  New samples will be installed in
  64. the samples sub-directory.

  66. ADVANCED UPGRADE INSTALLATION:
  67. If you want to try this new version before deciding to
  68. upgrade, install this version to a different directory
  69. (eg. c:\finance2).  Versions 9.x use a new data file 
  70. format.  Once you save your data files with version 9.x 
  71. older versions will not be able to directly read
  72. the new file format.  If you only want to experiment with
  73. version 9.x you should operate on a copy of your data files.
  74. (Remember that portfolios contain the full path of the 
  75. investments they contain, so after making a copy of your
  76. data files, you should not use your portfolios, as they
  77. will be pointing to your original data files.)

  87. Fund Manager (copyright 1993-7 by Mark Beiley) is a shareware
  88. application.  If, after a reasonable period, you decide
  89. that you find Fund Manager useful and plan to continue to
  90. use it, please register with the author.

  92. You may use the file "register.txt" or the registration
  93. form included in the online help to register.  A printable
  94. manual may be ordered on the registration form.  The
  95. manual is identical to the on-line help, but you may order
  96. the manual in either a Microsoft Word or plain ascii text
  97. file format.  This will allow you to print out the entire
  98. manual for easier reading.  The manual may either be
  99. mailed on diskette through the mail, or sent elec-
  100. tronically.  The cost to receive the manual on diskette is
  101. $5.00.  The cost to receive the manual electronically is
  102. $2.00, but is only available if you have provided an e-mail
  103. address on your registration form.  If you choose to order

  135. You will be sent a registration letter, which includes a
  136. name, serial number, and password combination to be 
  137. entered into Fund Manager.  This information will enable
  138. the registered version of Fund Manager.  If you have provided
  139. an electronic mail address the letter will be sent to the
  140. specified address.  Otherwise, a letter will be sent through
  141. the US mail.

  143. All registered users are entitled to 3 years of free
  144. technical support from the author.  Mark Beiley may be
  145. reached by either US mail, telephone, or electronic mail at
  146. the addresses and number listed above.

  201. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  204. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  205. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and
  206. continue using it, you are expected to register. Individual
