[HDNG]ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION:[EHDNG][PARA][GRPH]P5[EGRPH][STAT][BULL] 2 sabbatical [BULL] Turnout at last ballot: 6% [BULL] Ave. turnout at General Meetings: 1% [BULL] NUS member [ESTAT][PARA]The Student Association is the representative body and the co-ordinating group for all sorts of student activities and the Union is the building where the Association and its facilities are based.[ITAL] Confusion over? Most students aren't political whizz kids, to the extent that political platforms are prohibited at SA elections. It's hard enough to get them worked up about services (beer and stuff).[EITAL][ITAL][HDNG]SU FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA][ITAL]The Union, despite having some unexpectedly good facilities, is a bit shabby, although this may change if the Association gets its share of the 10 big ones (see above).[EITAL] In the Union, students can find: 2 bars; 2 cafeterias; general shop; photocopying; vending and games machines; pool table; track recording facilities and music room; TV room with cable TV; launderette; showers; cashpoints (Clydesdale Bank); 2 meeting rooms.[HDNG]CLUBS (NON SPORTING):[EHDNG][PARA]Board Games (chess, bridge, scrabble, etc); Comedy; Dyslexic Association; International Club.[HDNG]OTHER ORGANISATIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]There's a fortnightly paper, 'Cogno'. Students team up with [ULNE]Aberdeen University[EULNE] for student community work through SCAG and for charity raising through Aberdeen Rag which has a sabbatical organiser from the colleges involved.[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA]Multi-denominational chaplaincy.
