  1. If you have problems running Baldies(TM), you may want to
  2. make the following changes to your 'config.sys' and 
  3. 'autoexec.bat'
  4.  
  5. 1. Baldies(TM) sometimes conflicts with EMS memory in low memory
  6.    systems.
  7.    If you are using EMS memory, you may want to change this if you
  8.    are having problems. You can do this by changing the following
  9.    line in your 'CONFIG.SYS'
  10.     DEVICE=EMM386.EXE 2048 becomes
  11.     DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS
  12.  
  13. 2. Remove 'smartdrv.exe' from your 'autoexec.bat'. For more
  14.    information about Smartdrive, please refer to your DOS Manual.

  16. 3. Ensure that you load the minimum of device drivers excluding
  17.    of course sound, cdrom, network and mouse drivers. This will
  18.    provide extra memory for the game to use.
