Four options from no delay when you click on a file name to edit it, to a very long delay. The “short” delay will still enable you to click on the text of an icon and drag it or double click on text to run it. Note: Since this patches CODE resources, the program will not patch a Finder that has already been patched (with a named delay patch). In other words, you are stuck with whichever one you choose. I suggest that you try these first only on copies of a Finder to which you have not yet applied this patch (other patches are OK).
Use this patch on a copy of your 7.5.5 Finder, hide your old Finder in another folder (save it temporarily in case you don't like the results of the patch), put the updated version in the System folder and restart.
This patch cannot work properly while virus detection software is running. Please make sure that you have disabled any virus detectors before applying the patch.
