  43. The VESA modes supported by your mach64 card are dependent upon the 
  44. amount of video memory and the monitor type selected in the ADVANCED or 
  45. QUICK SETUP.
  46.  
  47. In order to determine the actual VESA modes supported by your current 
  48. configuration you should run VESATEST.EXE.  VESATEST is an ATI specific
  49. utility which has been included in 64VBE101.ZIP for your convenience.

  54. 2.0     mach64 VESA TSR 
  55.  
  56. If you experience any problems with applications that use VESA modes,  
  57. install and run the ATI mach64 Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) VESA  
  58. program M64VBE.COM. 
  59.  
  60. The default settings for M64VBE.COM are:
  61.  
  62. - dual read and write windows enabled
  63. - 320 modes enabled
  64. - VGA Wonder memory paging disabled
  65. - VGA CRT parameters enabled

  69. 3.0     Installation of the BBS version
  70.  
  71. To install the BBS version of M64VBE.COM and VESATEST.EXE:
  72.  
  73. 1. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE, v1.10 or later.  PKUNZIP
  74. is available on most BBS and information services, including the ATI
  75. BBS and CompuServe.
  76.  
  77. 2. Unzip 64VBE101.ZIP into the mach64 directory on your hard disk. For example:

  79. PKUNZIP 64VBE101.ZIP \MACH64
  80. CD \MACH64
  81.  
  82. The following files will be copied to the mach64 directory:

  84. README.VBE
  85. REPORT.TXT
  86. M64VBE.COM
  87. VESATEST.EXE

  89. To load the TSR type:     M64VBE <enter> 
  90.  
  91. To un-install the mach64 VESA TSR Change directory to the c:\mach64 
  92. (default) and type M64VBE U <enter>.

  94. Note: If you experience any problems unloading the TSR please consult 
  95. your DOS documentation for TSR un-install limitations.

  98. To determine the modes supported by your current configuration you must 
  99. run VESATEST from the mach64 directory.
