  8. about Norton CrashGuard. Topics include:

  14. Deleting CrashGuard
  15. -------------------
  16. Use the Add/Remove programs feature in the Windows Control Panel to 
  17. completely remove CrashGuard from your system. If you do not completely 
  18. remove CrashGuard, your computer might not report program errors if 
  19. it expects CrashGuard to handle them. The system might suspend the 
  20. program until you use Ctrl+Alt+Del to close it. To correct this problem, 
  21. use the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE) to delete this key from the 
  22. registry (if it exists):

  24. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\aeDebug

  26. To use REGEDIT.EXE, select Run in the Start menu. Then type REGEDIT.EXE 
  27. in the Command Line text box. Navigate through the path listed above and 
  28. delete the aeDebug key.  (The aeDebug key appears in the left pane of 
  29. the Registry Editor window.  It resembles a folder.)

  32. Disabling CrashGuard's Crash Protection
  33. ---------------------------------------
  34. When you turn off CrashGuard, it must continue to provide protection to 
  35. any program which has previously crashed but has not closed yet.  Even
  36. so, CrashGuard disconnects from the system when you turn it off, so it
  37. can won't catch new crashes in other programs.
