  1. CreataCard Special Edition -- Read Me!

  3. Installation Issues:
  4.  
  5. (1)  As with any software product installation, you should close ALL 
  6. other applications prior to running setup.exe.
  7.  
  8. (2)  If you choose to install Picture Painter, it will automatically be 
  9. set as the default screen saver.  This will not occur if After Dark is 
  10. detected.  If you would like to set another screen saver, you may do so 
  11. by bringing up the Windows Control Panel, clicking on the Desktop icon 
  12. and changing the section titled Screen Saver.
  13.  
  14. (3)  If you experience difficulty with the installation and you do not 
  15. use the default Windows desktop / program manager we suggest that you 
  16. disable your third party program manager before attempting the installation 
  17. again.  
  18.  
  19. (4)  If your screen saver is set to activate after a very short period 
  20. of user inactivity you might find that the screen saver starts during 
  21. the application installation or during the help system's animations.  We 
  22. recommend increasing the amount of time the screen savers waits.

  25. Windows 95
  26.  
  27. At the time CreataCard Special Edition and Picture Painter
  28. was shipped, the following issues with Windows '95 were known:
  29.  
  30. (1)  Password protection for 16-bit screen savers is disabled in the 
  31. Windows 95 32-bit environment.  Hence, a password cannot be set for Picture 
  32. Painter or any other 16-bit screen saver.
  33.  
  34. (2)  Auto-play is not implemented in this version of CreataCard Special Edition.
  35.  
  36. (3)  CreataCard Special Edition was designed as a full screen product.  The 
  37. Windows 95 taskbar will not be visible when running the program.  It can 
  38. be accessed by pressing Ctrl-Esc.
  39.  
  40. (4)  All documentation and help has been written for Windows 3.1x.
  41.  
  42. (5)  CreataCard Special Edition will not automatically adjust to video resolution 
  43. changes.  Exit CreataCard Special Edition and restart it when changing your 
  44. display settings.

  47. Registration
  48.  
  49. An online registration utility is included to allow you to easily 
  50. register your new product.  This enables you to receive information 
  51. about upgrades, technical support, etc...   You may like to know the 
  52. following, however:
  53.  
  54. (1)  Online registration can only be performed one time.
  55.  
  56. (2)  You may print the registration form as many times as you like, 
  57. until you actually register.  After registration, you may no longer 
  58. print the registration form, or electronically register, again.

  61. Registration Drawing

  63. There will be one winner of two round-trip coach class tickets on 
  64. American Airlines (or other airlines selected by Micrografx) departing 
  65. from a commercial airport nearest to winner's home to any destination 
  66. within the continental U.S..  Travel dates are subject to availability 
  67. and blackout dates and must be completed by December 31, 1997.  Prize 
  68. winner is responsible for the appropriate passports and travel documents 
  69. required and for any and all incidental expenses.  By participating and 
  70. redeeming a prize, winner releases Micrografx, Inc., its affiliates and 
  71. their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any 
  72. and all liability with respect to any prize.  Promotion void in whole 
  73. or in part where prohibited by law

  76. Back Page Art
  77.  
  78. Back Page Art is the logo or insignia that you might see on the back
  79. of your favorite card.  We have included a selection of Back Page Art that 
  80. you can personalize to add that finishing touch.  Whenever you edit back 
  81. page art, the changes that you make are saved.  If, at any time, you 
  82. would like to return to the default back page art that was supplied with 
  83. the application, simply delete the file colophon.csf.  This file is 
  84. located wherever you installed CreataCard Special Edition, in the Data
  85. subdirectory.
