  8. You can use the Norton Navigator Trial Edition for 30 days. 
  9. At the end of the 30 day trial period, it stops working and
  10. you are prompted to uninstall it.

  12. To uninstall Norton Navigator File Manager Trial Edition, open the 
  13. Win95 Control Panel and choose Add/Remove Programs. Then select
  14. Norton Navigator File Manager Trial.

  16. The Norton Navigator Trial Edition is not eligible for technical
  17. support.

  19. To buy the complete Norton Navigator, visit your local software
  20. retail store, or call Symantec at (800) 806-3477.

  23. before you install the complete Norton Navigator.

  36. For viewing files:  
  37.    For full viewing support with Norton File Manager, the
  38.    Microsoft Windows 95 Quick View or Inso Corp's Quick View Plus
  39.    must be installed. To add Quick View, open the Windows 95 Control 
  40.    Panel. Then use Add/Remove Programs to select the Windows Setup 
  41.    tab. In the Accessories program category, check Quick View. Click 
  42.    OK to copy the required files to your disk.

  45.    You must have an existing Internet connection that runs Winsock
  46.    1.1 or later. Check to make sure that the WINSOCK.DLL is in your
  47.    Internet provider's folder on your system.

  51. In Norton Navigator Trial Edition, you get:

  53. Norton Zip/Unzip  -  Compresses files to save disk space
  54.                      and file transfer time.
  55. Integrated Viewer Pane
  56.                   -  If Quick View (or Quick View Plus) is installed
  57.                      Norton File Manager integrates these viewers into

  59. FTP support       -  Default FTP sites appear in the File 
  60.                      Manager tree list. If you have an 
  61.                      Internet connection, double-click an
  62.                      FTP site name to connect and use its

  64.                      mapped network drive. You can also set up
  65.                      other sites that you want to connect to.
  66. DMF Floppy support-  Copy and Format 3.5-inch floppy disks with 
  67.                      the new Distribution Media Format (DMF) format. 
  68.                      DMF-formatted disks can be used on Windows 95 and 
  69.                      Windows NT systems. DMF formatting lets you put 
  70.                      more data on a disk. 
  71. XTree Gold Mode   -  XTreeGold keystroke support allows previous XTree 
  72.                      Gold users to use File Manager in a familiar way.
  73. Norton FastFind   -  Searches quickly through megabytes of files 
  74.                      on your hard disk for files you can specify 
  75.                      by name, date, type, and text within a file.

  77.                   -  Updates the contents of one directory from
  78.                      another directory, or updates two directories
  79.                      so that they are identical.
  80. Compare folders   -  Compares the contents of two folders and
  81.                      highlights the names of files that meet 
  82.                      the criteria you specify.
  83. Compare files     -  Displays the contents of two files and 
  84.                      highlights differences.
  85. SmartTabs         -  Saves commonly used File Manager display

  96. Network Browsing  -  In the Trial Edition, only mapped network drives
  97.                      are supported.  The full version supports Network
  98.                      Neighborhood and unmapped/UNC resources.
  99. Unerase support   -  All of the features that require unerase support 
  100.                      are unavailable in the Trial Edition.  These 
  101.                      include: unerasing files and folders,  searching 
  102.                      for deleted files, display and viewing of deleted 
  103.                      files, and UNDO of file operations that delete files. 
  104. Encrypt/Decrypt   -  The full version will encrypt files and folders to 
  105.                      protect sensitive information from unauthorized 
  106.                      access.
  107. UUEncode/Decode   -  The full version adds uuencoding support 
  108.                      to upload files to a USENET group or attach files
  109.                      to e-mail. It decodes files you download from 
  110.                      the Internet.
  111. Indexing          -  The full version provides indexing support for
  112.                      lightning fast text-based file searches.
  113. Norton Taskbar    -  Adds multiple desktop and QuickLaunch  
  114.                      capability to the Windows 95 Taskbar. 
  115. Multiple virtual desktops
  116.                   -  Lets you add project-oriented or other
  117.                      desktops and click their icons in the
  118.                      taskbar to switch between them. 
  119. FileAssist        -  Provides file management commands, and 
  120.                      program-specific recent file history and 
  121.                      folder lists from almost any program's 
  122.                      Open and Save As dialog boxes.

  124.                   -  Gives most Windows 3.x programs the ability
