Try the Quick Start section of the On-line Help to get going. You can print it by selecting FILE - PRINT TOPIC from HELP.
To deal the cards, click on the DEAL button or double-click the table or hit the return key.
Use the HELP - SEARCH FOR HELP ON... function to obtain an index of the Help file.
You don't have to move chips all the way back to the chip box. Just click on a chip stack and it will float back.
Speeds are controlled from the LIMITS/SPEEDS folder on the OPTIONS - SETTINGS screen.
Have trouble finding options on the OPTIONS - SETTINGS screen? Use the LOCATOR button.
If you hit Function Key 4, your bet will automatically be set to the same value as in the last hand and the dealer will deal.
If you wish to change the betting limits, click on the limit sign. If you don't like the choices, change them on the LIMITS/SPEEDS folder.
If you have Windows 95, you can get a detailed index of the Help by selecting the HELP - SEARCH FOR HELP ON... function and then clicking on the FIND tab.
Don't want the dealer to deal automatically? Turn off the 'Dealer doesn't wait for bet' option on the BASIC RULES folder.
Has CV started doing something odd? You've probably set an odd option. Hit the RESET button to reset all 370 options.
Use FILE - LAST HAND to see the last round dealt.
Use FILE - NEW SESSION to start a new set of statistics and reset your bankroll.
Don't like the look of the colors on your monitor? Try OPTIONS - COLORS.
You can borrow or pay back money by using FILE - MARKERS.
You can set the right mouse button to execute select functions. See the ENVIRONMENT folder.
On the street maps (OPTIONS - MAPS), you can click on a map location to see the name of a casino or click on a casino name to see its location.
CV supports two table sizes selected from OPTIONS - TABLE SIZE. The larger the table size, the better the graphics.
A new log is created every time that you begin a new session. To maintain the logs, try STATISTICS - MAINTAIN LOGS.
The size of the drills on the screen is controlled by OPTIONS - TABLE SIZE. The higher the setting, the better the graphics.
Don't want the disk logs to build up? Set the 'Auto delete logs' function on the ENVIRONMENT folder.
Don't like the Win/Lose/Push signs? Set the 'Suppress signs' option on the ENVIRONMENT folder.
If you have the 'Warning on Strategy error' option set, error tabulations can be display via STRATEGIES - ERRORS.
When you are in the OPTIONS - SETTINGS screen, the '?' in the lower right corner will display Help for the current folder. You can use the < > buttons to move forward or backward in Help.
Want to be warned when you make an incorrect play? Set the 'Warning on strategy error' option on the ENVIRONMENT folder.
Have trouble picking up the right number of chips? Set the 'Chip pick up aid' option on the ENVIRONMENT folder.
Want to play with other humans? Look at the MULTIPLAYER folder. Multiplayer mode is a part of Tournament play.
In Tournament play, you can hide the other players' bankrolls by setting the 'Suppress Chip Count' on the TOURNAMENT folder. Press SHOW CHIPS to see the bankrolls.
