Transcription: I think what appeals to me about painting is still what appealed to me about life as a kid. I still have the similar sensibilities to now that I had 30 years ago. Hopefully my technique is matured, but I still think that I'm tuned in on that level somehow. I hope that the pictures appeal on an emotional level and I hope that there would maybe a person's attention before they had a chance to decide that logically they thought this was an adult piece or a child's piece or a significant picture or whatever. I hope that it communicates on a level that is separate from that.
