"Audion" CD-ROM - Unique Macintosh Sounds
  Clixsounds' "Audion" is a compilation of Clixsounds'
original audio creations. Audion contains hundreds
of sound files designed for use specifically on computers
as System Alert Beeps, StartUp Sounds, System Clock
Sounds, Email Replacement Sounds, and Collectible
files. The CD-ROM is partitioned for Macintosh, Windows,
and selected portions will play on your audio CD player.
The Sounds
Audion provides both 16-bit/44.1kHz and 8-bit/22.5kHz versions of every sound included on the CD. All sounds in the Macintosh partition are in System 7 format, allowing instant listening by double-clicking the file.

Audion includes 15 sets of sounds for use as your System Clock Sounds, which can play at 1/4 Past, 1/2 Past, 1/4 'Til, Top Of the Hour, and chime. Email Sound Replacements
Another feature of the Audion CD-ROM is the variety of sounds designed for email programs like Claris Emailer and Eudora Pro. high-quality Pro-Macintosh sound files via email.
SoundList aims to provide the latest Clixsounds sound files to subscribers when, or sometimes before, the sounds are released to the public as freeware sounds. Subscribers will also enjoy occasional "Special Edition" sounds distributed to list members long before they are available elsewhere.
Subscriptions are available in 3-month ($12) and 6-month ($20) periods, both of which will send you 16-bit versions of beeps and smaller sounds and 8-bit stereo versions of larger sounds. Those not wishing to receive larger files can opt to subscribe to the "Low-res" list, which sends only 8-bit versions or mono versions of the sounds.
