setext2html.pl is a Perl Script which converts setext formatted documents like TidBITS (by Adam C. Engst) to HTML styled documents. The script is already setup to run on a Mac.
What can it do?
Translate urls into HTML url references.
Translate mail addresses into HTML mailto references so you can send mail to someone when you click
on the address.
Generate multiple output files based on titles in the input file and build an index file to these output files.
Translate setext style typotags to bold/italic/underlined html tags.
It creates an index of all the titles/subheads it finds and stores references to these titles/subheads
at the beginning of the HTML-ized document.
How does it woRK?
Read the readme.mac file in the folder called "mac".
If you want to run the script under Unix, read the readme.unix file in the folder called "unix"
