- ABOUT AXEL-F
- ============
-
- This is a rendition of the theme from "Beverley Hills Cop" (hence,
- "Axel Foley"). There have been a number of renditions floating
- around on the net, and this is based on one of them. I took the
- original arrangement and filled it out quite a bit, layering several
- of the instruments together in various combinations. I also added
- a number of percussive tracks that I am quite proud of to the middle
- section.
-
-
- TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
-
- 'Axel-f.mid' is a multitrack MIDI file. Your sequencer must be able
- to handle multi-track (Type 2) MIDI files. There are a total of 22
- tracks which are tailored to run on the Emu Proteus/1, but can
- probably be rearranged around any MIDI rig with sufficient power.
-
- For the Proteus/1, none of the tracks contain program & vol changes,
- except for the Flute and Horn tracks which both use channel #5. So
- you'll need to dial in the settings yourself (I will post SysEx only
- if absolutely necessary). I typically leave program & vol changes out
- so that folks with different MIDI gear have less headaches adapting
- the song.
-
-
- Here's the setup for the Proteus/1, should also give you an idea of
- what you'll need for your system.
