  3. This is the 1.0.1 version of XtraNet.  
  4. This is a demo release which does not include the example files or documentation. 
  5. They will be completed and released shortly. You can obtain the updated archive 
  6. for XtraNet from www.gmattter.com or www.humancode.com website or FTP location.

  8. XtraNet is available now for purchase for a one-time, per development station fee 
  9. of $399. There are NO runtime royalties when you have purchased a copy of XtraNet!  
  10. The retail product comes on a CD-ROM full of Director and Shockwave examples 
  11. along with complete documentation and more.

  25. How To Install XtraNet with Director
  26. When Director launches, it automatically locates Xtras by looking in two 
  27. special places:
  28.  
  29. Macintosh Location #1:    
  30. The Xtras folder which is in the same location as your 
  31. Director application.
  32.  
  33. Location #2:    
  34. The Macromedia:Xtras folder contained in your System folder.
  35.  
  36. Windows Location #1:    
  37. The Xtras subdirectory which is in the same location as your 
  38. Director application.
  39.  
  40. Location #2:    
  41. The Windows\Macromed\Xtras subdirectory on Windows 3.1  -OR- 
  42. The Program Files\Common Files\Macromedia\Xtras subdirectory on Windows 95 
  43. or Windows NT

  45. Macintosh
  46. Copy the XtraNet file to your Xtras folder.  Copy the About XtraNet file to 
  47. your Director Help folder.

  50. Copy the XTRANET.X16 or XTRANET.X32 file to your Xtras folder.  Copy the 
  51. XTRANET.DXR file to your Director folder.

  53. How To Install XtraNet with Shockwave
  54. When a Shockwave for Director plug-in launches, it automatically 
  55. locates Xtras by looking in a special Support folder.  This folder must 
  56. be located in one of the following places:

  58. Macintosh (All browsers) 68K:        
  59. The NP-68K-Dir-Shockwave Folder folder contained in your browser's plug-ins folder.

  61. PowerPC:    
  62. The NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave Folder folder contained in your browser's plug-ins folder.

  64. Windows (Netscape Navigator and compatible browsers) 3.1:
