  8.   The archive file LSPEED42.ZIP ( or LGHTSPD.ZIP ) contains two files:

  10.              L42SETUP.EXE   ( Install Light Speed! )

  13. TO INSTALL:
  14.  
  15.   To install the LIGHT SPEED! screen saver, run the included setup
  16.   program L42SETUP.EXE from Windows. Go to the RUN window by selecting
  17.   the RUN item on the START menu. Locate the L42SETUP.EXE file
  18.   and run it. It will guide you through the installation process.

  21. WHAT IS LIGHT SPEED?

  23.   LIGHT SPEED ! is a starfield screen saver that generates interactive
  24.   real-time starfield effects. It includes several different starfield
  25.   types and modes. With the interactive mode, you can fly it yourself
  26.   and explore the dozens of real-time controls which produce spectacular
  27.   effects and breathtaking displays. Take your desk top to infinity and
  28.   beyond ...

  44.      WINDOWS 95 or 98 or NT 4.0
  45.      486 or better.
  46.      VESA compatible graphics card (uses 640x480 w/256 color).

  50. LIGHTING:
  51.  
  52.      To get the best effect from the software, make sure the brightness and
  53.      contrast controls of the monitor are adjusted for maximum brightness
  54.      with a dark black level.  Best results are obtained in a dark room with
  55.      little or no ambient light. Some configurations are hard to see, unless
  56.      its very dark.

  60. UN-INSTALL:
  61.  
  62.      The setup program AND the screen saver, have automatic
  63.      UN-install functions.  USE THEM, to un-install it.
  64.

  66.      To MANUALLY un-install it ... you need to remove the following
  67.      files. The files are shown as if they were installed using the
  68.      default directory c:\l-speed (Use your directory). [ NOTE: the
  69.      'registry' is not altered by LIGHT SPEED! ]
