Radar has detected incoming high-speed bogeys. We think they are following up an attack on some incoming supply ships. Take the MiG-31 and splash the bombers.

MISSION OBJECTIVE

We don't have much time. The Foxhound is ideally suited for interception. Your afterburners will get you up to mach speeds, and its supercruise ability will allow you to stay at those speeds for extended times. With the large fuel capacity, you won't worry about running low on gas. You .underline will ..underline have to worry about fighters. The MiG-31 is not a dogfighter. Immediately after you take off, a Flanker will follow you. His job is to protect you from any escort the bombers have, so sic him on 'em!
To further complicate matters, a recently captured YAK-141 is flying in from Odesa. The pilot has strict instructions not to engage, since that plane will be needed in future missions. Protect the YAK if he manages to draw any attention, though Eagle usually can take care of himself.

MISSION SUCCESS

Great job. You splashed the bombers and got Eagle back safely. He would like to talk to you as soon as he gets out of the Commandant's office, where he is explaining why he helped you out. Between you and me, though, his aid was crucial in slowing those bombers down.

MISSION FAILURE

Your failure to protect vitally needed supplies has put the remaining part of free Ukraine under tremendous strain. I hope for your conscience's sake, they are able to bear the added load low medical supplies and ammo will bring.
