SITUATION

Although your effort to reduce the Russian armor was successful, they still have overwhelming amounts of materiel. We have been cut off behind enemy lines, and have been ordered to abandon the base and destroy any usable hardware we cannot bring along. We will be relocating further inside the Ukraine at Dnipropetrovs'k
You will be performing a multi-role mission in the Su-34 Platypus to cover our tails as we break through enemy lines and make our way to Dnipropetrovs'k. The Platypus was designed so that a pilot familiar with the Flanker could step right in, so you should have no trouble. Interestingly, your RIO will be at your side.
The A-10's are not salvageable in the time we have left, so unfortunately they will have to be demolished before we leave.

MISSION OBJECTIVE
..underline
.body
AWACS has informed us of incoming bogeys from Rostov. You are to head for the border and engage the bogeys if they attack our rear guard air patrol. Once you dispose of them, head towards Kramators'k and eliminate the tank line attacking the city from the west. The tanks in the hills to the east will be taken on by
our Intruder, with the Prowler along to provide ECM. After eliminating the tanks which could threaten our convoy, head back up the valley and protect us from any air strikes. The rear guard should be able to handle them, but you must stop any that get by them. Escort the convoy past the city. They will be
safe once they are past Kramators'k. The rear guard will provide air cover over the city, then head to our new base. The Intruder and Prowler will likewise head off once their job is done. If you have extra ordinance, finish off any armor you can, then head to Dnipropetrovs'k yourselves. I hope to see you there.

You saved our butts. Everyone will buy you a round tonight. Those tanks nearly drew a bead on us before you got there, but all the vital equipment made it through. Those Platypuses are great multi-role platforms. They have the maneuverability of a Flanker with the payload of an F-18. Good work, and thanks.

MISSION FAILURE

Dammit, son. Too many good men and women died on that march. The Su-34s are grounded for lack of parts, and we don't have the air defenses we need. Get some rest. I'm sure the Russians won't let us recoup our losses.
