As the tension increases, the Ukrainian Air Force has stepped up its patrols of the borders. On your way to Donets'k, your next location, you are to patrol the Sea of Azov for Russian incursions into Ukrainian air space.
The Rules of Engagement state at this point that you shall remain neutral unless you are actively targeted and under radar lock. Engage if fired upon.
Follow your wing commander's orders exactly. His Eagle will take off first, followed by you and then your MiG instructor. Proceed to a marshaling area and enter formation with the F-15. Once everyone is ready to party, head east over Feodosiya and begin your patrol. Follow the border north until you reach land.
You will then land at Donets'k and report for your next assignment.

MISSION SUCCESS

That was a real hairball, I'm glad you made it. The Russians are assuming an aggressive stance. Your posting on the border may end up being more than a training exercise.
Command has indicated that this incident, coupled with the seizing of Ukrainian ships, has finally led to the authorization of air strikes. Later this evening, the Ike will be sending a punitive strike force. Get some rest, it looks like we may have a war on our hands.

Even though this was nominally a training mission, you still should have been prepared for hostilities. The Russians have upped the ante and called your bluff. Let's hope we don't decide to fold.
Your posting on the border may end up being more than a training exercise. See that you are ready for action in the future.
