- - New Features in the Enhanced Scenery Files -
-
-
-
- These files were created with the Microsoft Flight Simulator Aircraft
- and Scenery Designer (c), and enhanced with Mallard Software's Scenery
- Enhancement Editor (c). Through the use of the SEE editor, several new
- features are now present in this scenery archive:
-
- 1) Night coloring: buildings, polygons, runways, and other objects
- darken at dusk and at night. Airport taxi lights appear as dots
- at night and are off during the day. Runways include side and
- center lighting. Selected cities are now lit up with strings of
- dotted lights, similar to the Chicago FS4.0 defaul scenery.
-
- 2) ATIS centers are present for selected airports. Frequencies
- for arrival and departure (when applicable) information are
- given in the README.2ND file.
-
- 3) Custom-made scenery objects, such as displaced threshold and
- blastpad/overrun markings, allowing for more accurate rendering
- of complex objects.
-
- 4) Custom range-definitions, making it possible for smaller objects
- to be seen at greater distances.
-
- YOU DO NOT NEED THE SCENERY ENHANCEMENT EDITOR TO USE THE ENHANCED
- SCENERY FILES. The Enhancement Editor is merely a tool for modifying
- existing scenery, and is not used in scenery display. Your A&SD program
- will load and display these enhanced files properly without it.
