  8. WHY?
  9. Apocalypse Now is a great movie, probably my favorite.  Perhaps
  10. you have not seem it, and if that is the case you need to go
  11. see it.  Anyway, I thought it would be cool if I added some
  12. of the sounds to Doom(42, to be exact).  Hence, this WAD.   
  13.  
  14. OK, SO HOW DO I USE IT?
  15. Playing Doom with these new sounds is incredibly easy.  The actual sounds
  16. are in the WAD called APOCALYP.WAD.  Unzip APOCALYP.ZIP in your Doom 
  17. directory.  To play, simply type "doom -file apocalyp.wad". I have even 
  18. included a small batch file that will do this for you. Just type "apocalyp" 
  19. and it will start up Doom with the WAD added.

  21. CONSTRUCTION
  22. I used the soundtrack CD from the movie, a WAV recorder, and DMAUD.  
  23. Anyone can do this, and I would encourage you to experiment.

  36. Of course, if your computer gets screwed up it ain't my fault(but that won't 
  37. happen).  Doom and Apocalpyse Now are trademarks of their respective 
  38. companies.  And by the way, there is some explicit language in the WAD.
