  3. Joseph's dying request was that he be buried in the Promised Land (Gen. 50:24-25).  Knowing this, Moses took Joseph's bones with him when Israel left Egypt (Ex. 13:19).  Now, more than 400 years after he died, Joseph's remains were finally laid to rest.
