  8. This simple program will unlock your machine, if it
  9. has a password protecting the filing system. It also
  10. displays your name on the screen on boot up, so
  11. providing some extra security in case of theft.
  12.  
  13. To use the program, double click on it. To make it
  14. run automatically on a Risc PC, hold down Shift,
  15. double click on the computer's main !Boot
  16. application, go into Choices, Boot and then Tasks.
  17. Copy !LogOn to that directory.

  19. When the computer is booted, it will display a
  20. security message and ask for the password. To ignore
  21. the request, simply close the window. This is useful
  22. if you allow friends to play games, but not to
  23. modify the system at all.

  25. To change the security message, hold down Shift and
  26. double click on !LogOn, then edit the file
  27. 'Messages'.

  29. If the computer is not password-protected, this
  30. program will quit immediately.  You can set or
  31. change the password using the configuration system
  32. in !Boot. !LogOn is intended for use with the FSLock
  33. password system.
