  1. Spectrum 2 - update

  4.   Spectrum 2 has been received, on the whole, very well.  There is however,
  5. one major critism; the lack of RiscPC support.  Sounds Riscy have decided to
  6. make a move towards compatibility by offering this, a fixed version of the
  7. "!Run" and "!RunImage" files, which will check to see which computer you are
  8. using, and if necessary, disable the CoconizerPlayer module (which caused
  9. "Spectrum 2" to crash on a RiscPC).

  11.   To make the upgrade, simply copy the "!Run" and "!RunImage" files from
  12. this archive to inside the "!Spectrum2" directory on your Spectrum2 disc. 
  13. Note: The music will still work for pre-RiscPC machines.  See the
  14. "!Spectrum2.!Help" file for copyright details regarding these files.  If you
  15. wish to hear the music on a RiscPC, either purchase a copy of "Game On!"
  16. from the ARM Club, which allows you to use the CoconizerPlayer module, or
  17. send me a disc and stamp, and I will send you a copy of the tunes in
  18. Soundtracker format for use with the "Q2Track" application.
