  11. I have some old stereo equipment which I haven't used as my main stereo
  12. for quite some time. I figure it's about time I let someone else get some
  13. enjoyment out of it.
  14. This would make a great "first" stereo (like for a dorm room), or if someone
  15. is into decent old components, they might be interested.

  17. harmon/kardon hk 590i receiver. It's rated at about 45W per channel.
  18.      o     AM/FM tuner with 6 presets per.
  19.      o     Bass/Treble controls with switchable cutoffs.
  20.      o     Subwoofer filter.
  21.      o     AUX, Phono, and two Tape inputs, with tape-copy switch.

  23. A pair of JBL L45 speakers.
  24. These are small, high efficiency speakers which go very well with the above
  25. receiver.

  27. Sony CDP-111 CD player.
  28. This is a great, old high-end home model. It lacks the bells and whistles
  29. of modern CD players, but the sound quality is only slightly worse due to
  30. the advances in D/A technology made in the past few years.

  32.      o     Repeat modes (A-B, 1 song, and whole disc)
  33.      o     Numeric entering of track number, etc.

  35. Onkyo cassette deck.
  36. This is a high-quality, but very old cassette deck.
  37.      o     Dolby "B" noise reduction
  38.      o     Bias adjustment
  39.      o     L/R input level adjust
  40.      o     Soft-touch controls
  41. Its one problem is that the drive mechanism is belt-driven as oppost to
  42. direct-drive. I've had problems with it in the past, so I'm really throwing
  43. this deck in with the whole package.

  45. I'm asking $500 for everything. I'll listen to offers, and may consider
  46. selling the pieces separately, but I'd really rather find someone who
  47. could use the whole (rather nice sounding) set-up all at once.
