- In setting the return time as low as one day, you will likely arouse the
- ire of those who are sending mail to the outer corners of the globe, to eastern
- europe, south and central america. My users do much such, and it is no uncommon
- thing for a bit of mail to wait in the queue for 3-4 days awaiting a domain
- name server for the distant domain to become reachable, or connectivity to the
- distant host to be realized.
-
- So you have two groups to satisfy, those who want their mail to get to the
- dark corners without them having to try several times, and those who don't
- want to wait 4 days to find out they misspelled the name of the guy in the
- next office. Best thing to do is to know how your mail is balanced among the
- groups. Failing this, lock the concerned parties in a windowless room without
- food and water and let them resolve the issue for you.
