  22. When an undeliverable BSMTP message arrives through our BITNET
  23. gateway, the bounce message consistently loses the first line
  24. or two of the original headers.  I've included an example below.
  25.  
  26. We just installed PMDF 4.1-13, JNET 3.6 and VMS 5.5-1.
  27.  
  28. I'm using the old PMDF 4.0 configuration:  I recompiled and installed
  29. the old PMDF.CNF with no modifications, and other than these bounce
  30. header trims, things seem to be working okay.
  31.  
  32. By the way, this trimming only appears on the bit_gateway channel, as
  33. far as I can tell.  Bounces on the local channel and regular NJE
  34. channel don't show this anomaly.  Anyone recognize what I've missed?
