  32. We've used the following arguments:
  33.   1) Manhours investment in VMS  (over 300 manyears in one case)
  34.   2) Conversion costs/downtime
  35.   3) Performance advantage over SPARC 10 (significant)
  36.   4) Pricing is much better
  37.   5) You will not experience the grief of going to Solaris 2.0 (if you thought
  38.      VMS 4.0 or VMS 5.0 were bad...)
  39.   6) If the decision is made to run Unix or OSF, the AXP can.  The SPARC can't
  40.      run VMS.
  41.   7) VMS is compliant with all final POSIX specs (and in line with most of the
  42.      preliminary ones).
  43.   8) It's what I want  -  Well, this one doesn't work often   :-)
