- While I see your point, there is a problem with giving police officers
- too much leeway. Asking a policeman to make a judgement call is
- asking for a small minority to abuse their powers. And it is possible
- to honestly disagree about an "appropriate" speed. I would be very
- nervous if I thought I could be booked for speeding because I was
- doing 30 and the local bobby thought 20 would be a better idea.
