- You have to start somewhere I suppose. When I say the Greater London area
- I meant the commuter belt which does cover 24% of the UK population. Because
- of the nature of the technology it requires alot of expensive base stations
- (300 to cover the area inside the M25 at between 10,000 to 2 million each)
- so you can see why the company starts in the most populated area of the
- country.

- A licence condition states that 65% of the UK population must be covered by
- 1996. Vodaphone and Cellnet cover about 84% of UK population at the moment
- I think.
