  38. You have to start somewhere I suppose. When I say the Greater London area
  39. I meant the commuter belt which does cover 24% of the UK population. Because
  40. of the nature of the technology it requires alot of expensive base stations
  41. (300 to cover the area inside the M25 at between 10,000 to 2 million each)
  42. so you can see why the company starts in the most populated area of the 
  43. country.

  45. A licence condition states that 65% of the UK population must be covered by
  46. 1996. Vodaphone and Cellnet cover about 84% of UK population at the moment
  47. I think.
