- Actually you have your time-table a little off. The income tax amendment
- happened under Taft, the Federal Reserve under Wilson, the Smooth-Harly
- Tariff (I believe) under Hoover, and the money supply under either Coolidge
- or Hoover. That's a span of 17 years and four presidents.
