- Russell, could you explain the connection you are making here?
- Most shelters around the country accept any dog or cat brought in,
- give owners three to five days to reclaim their animals, and then
- unfortunately must separate animals with "adoption potential" from
- the overall population. About 70-80% of the animals brought in are
- euthanized, higher in some areas.
