  113.  humanist list is the treatment of children by our society:

  115.  - I support parental leave.  Parents should not be penalized for
  116.    being parents.  (Only 1% of fathers who have parental leave available
  117.    take advantage of it because of the stigma associated with it and the
  118.    possible negative effects it will have on their careers.  Or so said
  119.    a radio news item...)

  121.  - There should be programs to enable men and women to reenter the job 
  122.    market and their career track after staying home with a pre-school child.

  124.  - Businesses and government and parents should come together to provide
  125.    higher quality child care.
