  12. So, rumor has it some of you have been asking about me.

  14. I'm fine. I've been living in California (Silicon Valley) for almost
  15. four years, now. Except for three straight weeks of rain, I love it here
  16. and have a nice social circle--far larger than I had in DC. I meet
  17. lots of new people all the time.
  18.  
  19. I was employed for a while by a major computer magazine publishing
  20. company but had lots of problems with their upper management and I
  21. quit. Since November, I've been consulting to small compnaies--providing
  22. internal tech support for their LAN's and PC's. I kinda enjoy
  23. consulting and am debating with myself as to whether to continue or
  24. look for the near-perfect fulltime position.

  26. As John Fereira posted, I still attend the local net.parties but really 
  27. haven't organized anything in over a year. The last USECON I organized was 
  28. Halloween of 1990. I may do some more local parties but I don't think I'll
  29. do national parties for a long time.

  31. Although I was in a relationship for four months last year, my
  32. intensity did cause us to break up but we're still friends.
  33. I've pretty much accepted that "it'll never happen" and have resigned
  34. myself to being happy with computers, Star Trek, and other partnerless
  35. activities. I no longer discuss the feelings with anyone except my
  36. closest friends.

  38. I don't read soc.singles anymore. After 7 years, it sorta gets 
  39. redundantly repetitious with the only addition being an overwhelming
  40. number of people and articles. I saw some of the articles with my name
  41. because a friend emailed them to me.
