- | How long after a first date do you usually wait before going

- |See, this is a perfectly reasonable soc.singles post even if posted
- |anonymously.

- |God alone knows what was inflammatory enough to make the poster want to
- |*post* it anonymously, but it's perfectly appropriate to the group.

- Agreed. I'm even going to respond to it although he/she? (here's where
- posting anonymously can be a problem. Before jumping on me I'll elaborate
- on that later. As the poster surmised. It depends on the situation. I
- can offer at least one example where I asked a woman out, we went out,
- and the following day she called and asked me out for lunch. This is where
- the he/she problem arised. If I knew I was responding to a she I could
- suggest that if he asked you out and you had a good time, don't wait a week
- to go out with him again if you want to go out the next day. If it
- was a "he" the advice might be different. In that case I'd suggest finding
- out as the first date is ending if one, she want's to go out again, and then
- ask when she would be available.
