  23. I think that's probably one of the best benefits of staying single. You know
  24. you're going to get out of it what you put into it. It's another reason I
  25. firmly believe that a bad relationship is worse than none at all.

  31. Through communication of my wants. And my expectations. And a good dollop of
  32. acting like I have a right to get something out of this relationship in 
  33. addition to putting all that effort in. And trying to remember that I'm an
  34. equal partner in this relationship, so I deserve equal benefits as my partner
  35. (note: not better, not worse). And being willing to call it quits if we can't 
  36. work something out together.
