- I think that's probably one of the best benefits of staying single. You know
- you're going to get out of it what you put into it. It's another reason I
- firmly believe that a bad relationship is worse than none at all.

- Through communication of my wants. And my expectations. And a good dollop of
- acting like I have a right to get something out of this relationship in
- addition to putting all that effort in. And trying to remember that I'm an
- equal partner in this relationship, so I deserve equal benefits as my partner
- (note: not better, not worse). And being willing to call it quits if we can't
- work something out together.
