  24. I may be taking this out of context but, in all my experience, anyone
  25. I have ever spoken with and I myself consider anyone not married to be
  26. "single".  The fact that one might have or not have freinds and how close
  27. she or he might be toward those friends has no bearing on whether or not
  28. one is "single".  The exception to this rule:  Some who are engaged might
  29. refer to themselves as "being engaged" as opposed to being single.  
  30. Although, technically, they still remain to be single until they marry.
