- There used to be 2 guys in the Seattle contra community who always wore
- skirts to the dances. One moved back east somewhere, although it's probably
- not the same person you mention (he always had neatly groomed short light
- hair). Anyway, Dave is always happy to explain why he wears a skirt for
- contra-dancing: mainly because with the skirt whipping around all over
- the place, it acts like a fan and keeps him cool. He's even leaped up
- on the stage during breaks, grabbed a mike and urged other guys to
- try skirts. He wears shorts (the outerwear kind) under the skirt,
- and wears normal male clothing when not dancing.
