  20. There used to be 2 guys in the Seattle contra community who always wore
  21. skirts to the dances.  One moved back east somewhere, although it's probably
  22. not the same person you mention (he always had neatly groomed short light
  23. hair).  Anyway, Dave is always happy to explain why he wears a skirt for
  24. contra-dancing:  mainly because with the skirt whipping around all over
  25. the place, it acts like a fan and keeps him cool.  He's even leaped up
  26. on the stage during breaks, grabbed a mike and urged other guys to
  27. try skirts.   He wears shorts (the outerwear kind) under the skirt,
  28. and wears normal male clothing when not dancing.
