  19. Gosh, I've had Cancers before and it was lots of fun (I'd say that they're
  20. at least as good as any other sun sign).  (Or were you not talking about
  21. "moon children" there?)

  23. Seriously, though, there are lots of things to enjoy about being single;
  24. indeed, after a few relationships that got a bit bad towards the end, I
  25. was delighted to be single again and definitely wanted to stay that way,
  26. at least for a while.  I also know people who seem to have no interest in
  27. being in a relationship at all (one in particular has the problem that
  28. she's (by our current social standards) very attractive, intelligent, etc.,
  29. and keeps having people decide that she's their ideal woman and wanting
  30. to live the rest of their lives with her while her interest in even
  31. dating anybody is simply nonexistent).

  33. What I do want to know is why you feel so certain about this pronouncement
  34. that it is impossible to be happy being single?  What do you feel that 
  35. people get out of being not-single that is essential to happiness?

  37. I'm happy enjoying a hot fudge brownie sundae and I'm also happy enjoying
  38. a good pizza--how is enjoying being single and enjoying being not-single
  39. so different?
