I too have been listening to Family Radio for years. I have great respect
for Harold Camping. Naturally, I dont blindly receive everything he has to
say (his peculiarly rigid abhorrence of tongues comes to mind), but I have
never questioned his commitment to the Lord Jesus and the preaching of
the Gospel of Salvation. I have not seen the book, but have heard him
discuss his thesis numerous times. The setting of dates for the Coming
of the Lord has always led to disaster, but many Christians, Jews, and
even Muslims believe we're close to the end of time. Whether this is
end of the millenium hysteria or not, I dont know. All I know is that
the Lord will raise me up on the Last Day.
