- Well, yes, there is a wealth of really offensive vibes being spread around
- by that term, but you also should consider that many people use that term to
- express the fact that they don't act feminine merely because that's the term
- people understand. Is it any better to say "non-fem"? No, because as you
- said, that's implying that acting femmy is disgusting, and that's insulting
- to women.

- I liked your post for the simple reason that it alerts people who use this term
- because it's the widely understood one to the inherent self-deprecation of
- it. But what's your alternative? Personally, I act masculine when I feel
- masculine, feminine when I feel feminine, and am done with it. I don't
- describe myself as "anything-acting" since it's not a concrete part of my
- personality. But then, I'm bi and used to duality.
