  20. I haven't noticed anything *quite* like this referendum (and, in
  21. case you're wondering, I abstain), but there was a period not all 
  22. that long ago (during which I was dealt with lovingly and considerately 
  23. by Clay Bond) when I thought I might be put to a vote.
