- KIRO is reporting that the two Republican congresstypes from Washington,
- Rep. Jennifer Dunn and Sen. Slade Gorton, are as yet undecided on whether to
- push for maintaining the military ban.
-
- Gorton is generally a conservative jerk, but his '88 opponent, Mike Lowry,
- was just elected governor, so he may sense a change in the direction of
- the wind. He's up for reelection in '94.
-
- Dunn is a self-proclaimed moderate from Bellevue, who ran on a mostly
- pro-choice platform.
-
- A call, a letter, or a fax to either can't hurt, and might even help.
-
- Personal to Bil: Another reason to lift the ban--if the Republicans are
- generally for it, how good can it be?
