- Some other examples:
-
- "Small Town Boy" - Bronski Beat (Deals with fag bashing; most people know it
- by the chorus "Run away, run away...")
-
- "Perfect Kiss" - New Order (Chasing a friend who is still in the closet; "told
- him not to see his guilt, said let's go out and have some fun."
-
- "True Faith" - New Order (Growing up and coming out; Lyric goes:
- "When I was a very small boy, very small boys talked to me; now that we've
- grown up together, they're afraid of what they see...")
-
- "Lounge Act" - Nirvana ("I've got this friend, you see, and he makes me
- feel; and I want him more than I could steal..." Not sure about this one,
- since the rest of the lyrics are hard to understand; can anyone verify the
- sexual orientation of the song or the band?)
-
- "Rent" - Pet Shop Boys (All about love and excess; "I love you...You pay my
- rent...")
-
- Not sure if "In the Navy" and "YMCA" by Village People meet your definition.
-
- What about the old Kinks classic "Lola"?
