- I think it became our 'playing card' because during the
- campaign, Clinton promised to lift the ban on gays in the
- military. He has shown that he is willing to back up his
- campaign promise.

- The military is one of the last bastions of bigotry in this
- country. (that is, aside from a lot of religions) If we can get
- this issue resolved, I feel that we will have come one step
- closer to gaining rights in other areas.
