  12. I think this vote is somewhat ill-conceived.  We could certainly have
  13. done with a bit of editing of the "proposals", rather than just
  14. including other people's articles that were plainly intended as food
  15. for thought rather than concrete options.  What does it mean for me to
  16. vote for a proposal that offers "ideas I could see as possibilities"?
  17. What exactly is proposal #8?

  19. I also don't see why it is necessary to select just one proposal.  The
  20. whole point of the discussion period in news.groups will be to
  21. consider possible changes, so we might as well offer all reasonably
  22. well supported proposals from the outset.  Indeed, it's not clear to
  23. me why we are going through all this discussion here beforehand, when
  24. we could just as easily be doing it on news.groups.  The presence
  25. there of phobes is a red herring; we know who we are and we can ignore
  26. anyone there with a bee in their bonnet.  Meantime, those many
  27. soc.motssers who don't particularly care about the fine details of
  28. reorganisation are being bothered with it here anyway.

  30. I'll vote nevertheless, but I won't let the vote result stop me from
  31. advocating what I may see as superior organisations.
